Macomb Community College
October 2025 - Present
Social Media Specialist
The Problem: Best practices on Instagram overall (i.e., reels for growth and engagement) have been unsuccessful; community colleges are more niche and frequently lack a campus culture, similar to that of 4-year universities, which leads to less involvement or interest in the college's social media presence.

The Solution: Focus on successful post types in the niche (memes, student-centered perspectives, photos of real-life events and people) and look outside of the niche to identify content ideas that have yet to be used within the niche, thus becoming a social media trendsetter in the higher education space. Pivot away from reels. Identify specific brand guidelines (i.e. color and fonts) for a more cohesive feed. Identify a brand voice for social media (playful, student-centric) to establish a culture.
Mount Clemens Downtown Development Authority
July 2024 - October 2025
Social Media Specialist, General Marketing and Event Support
The Problem: The downtown area is receiving a lull in traffic due to construction, leading to insecurity and tension amongst business owners. Mount Clemens is increasingly underfunded, leading to a negative stereotype about the city and its events.

The Solution: Refine social media focus on events that draw attention downtown, stacking events together so they may feed off each other. Focus event promotion on Facebook and run ad campaigns that specifically target parents and their children to shift the city's public perception to being more family-friendly. Consult with individual businesses to provide targeted assistance.
The Result: A paid and organic campaign for the 2025 Made in Michigan Art & Craft Fair led to a 115% higher turnout than previous years, despite construction, with 20,000 attendees in 2 days. On-the-street feedback was overwhelmingly positive. The Facebook event response was 261% higher than it was for the 2024 Made in Michigan Art & Craft Fair Facebook event.
City of Mount Clemens Government
July 2024 - October 2025
Social Media Specialist, General Marketing and Event Support
Macomb County Board of Commissioners
July 2024 - October 2025
Social Media Specialist
The Problem: The Board of Commissioners, despite being the governing body responsible for all financial decisions in the county, remains relatively unknown to the general population. The Board aims to enhance its visibility and increase the public's understanding of its community involvement.

The Solution: Refine social media focus to feature the Commissioners to increase approachability to constituents. Feature more collaborations with the community, including Charity Day, an initiative created by the Board, and photos of the donation recipients. Establish why constituents should care about initiatives passed by how it may impact their daily life.
